Custom Christmas Ornament Giveaway!

Sooo...I know, I know...we just made it past Halloween and haven't even gotten to Thanksgiving yet, but I'm such a fool for Christmas. I can't help it! With all the twinkling lights, shiny wrapped gifts and merry-making - I love it. Once the frightful Halloween costumes are put away, my mind automatically goes into holiday mania.

Last year I started making custom Christmas ornaments and they were a huge hit. I did them for the kids' teachers and for several friends and family members. I also got a ton of orders from others who wanted to give them as gifts.

This fun ornament was for a friend of mine who is a New Orleans Saints fan.

This is a fun one we did for my daughter's science teacher!

These were created for a customer's pets - the pink and blue ones were for two friends - one had the mother dog and the other had the puppy so they both got a matching ornament! Each of these ornaments are hand-crafted from clay and baked before being hand-painted and embellished with glass beads and wire.

I thought it would be fun to talk traditions for this contest. My favorite tradition is one that we started when my children were very small. Every Christmas Eve, we all load in the car (sometimes with mugs of hot chocolate) and go Christmas light hunting. We have a lot of fun looking at all the beautiful lights and just spending time together. By the time we get home, the kids are ready to get tucked in and await the excitement of morning.

So, if you like them and want to win one, simply leave me a comment letting me know your favorite Christmas or holiday tradition! I'll choose a winner (using Random.org) on Dec. 1, 2013 at 8pm and will contact you for details on what you'd like. :-)

If you'd like to purchase an ornament, or you know someone who would like one, please refer them to my Etsy store: https://www.etsy.com/listing/168638890/custom-teacher-christmas-holiday-gift?

  1. Christmas morning is my favorite part of Christmas. It's our "family time". One of our traditions is having a big family breakfast together before leaving the house for the day to visit family.

  3. Thank you! One of my favorite traditions is Santa putting the Star on the Christmas Tree when he visits our house. It started when we didn't have a star the First Christmas of our oldest son. We ran and found one of the last ones. 'Santa' put it up that night, just in time for Christmas! He does this every year now!
